Oppo A94 With Quad Rear Cameras, MediaTek Helio P95 SoC Launched: Specs and Availability

Oppo has quietly launched the Oppo A94 with quad rear cameras in the UAE. The new Oppo A-series device succeeds the Oppo A93 from last year that comes with Helio P95 chipset and dual selfie cameras. Oppo is boasting the Oppo A94’s camera capabilities that include monochrome video mode and dual-view mode. The company is yet to share its global availability details.

In terms of looks, both Oppo A93 and Oppo A94 feature a 6.4-inch screen, though the former includes a pill-shaped cutout for the dual-selfie cameras instead of a hole-punch cutout on the latest Oppo phone. The rear cameras are housed in a rectangular module, and the smartphone is available in Fluid Black and Fantastic Purple. The new Oppo A94’s display comes with Full-HD+ (2,400×1,080 pixels) resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 90.8 percent screen to body ratio. The AMOLED panel supports up to 800 nits of brightness. Under the hood, it comes with the same octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 SoC (clocked at 2.2Ghz) paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of USB 2.0 storage. The smartphone ships with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box and supports dual-SIM cards.

The quad rear camera setup on the Oppo A94 includes a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture. The main camera is accompanied by a wide-angle camera (with 119 degrees of field of view), a macro shooter with f2.4 aperture, and a mono camera with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there’s a 32-megapixel shooter. The rear cameras support 4K (ultra-HD) video recording at 30fps, and the front camera can shoot Full-HD video at 30fps. Both the main rear camera and the selfie shooter support electronic image stabilization (EIS).

Other features of the Oppo A94 include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone carries a 4,310mAh battery with 30W charging. Oppo UAE has listed the smartphone on its official website, but the company has not yet revealed its pricing and availability details, at the time of writing this article.
